A BJP assembly in Karnataka for discussing ballot methods for upcoming council elections witnessed protests and fistfight as an alternative after heated argument between two rival factions throughout the celebration turned violent Tuesday night. The assembly was being held by state Excise Minister Okay Gopalaiah in Hassan district’s Arsikere for the polls scheduled for December.

A personnel raised objections when NR Santosh, the previous aide of BS Yediyurappa, was delivering his speech. The employees raised slogans in opposition to him and questioned his contribution to Arsikere.

Mr Gopalaiah tried to pacify the group however they had been reluctant to again down.
