A person who returned from South Africa to Dombivali in Thane district of Maharashtra not too long ago has examined optimistic for coronavirus, a Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Company (KDMC) official mentioned on Sunday.
It isn’t confirmed whether or not the affected person was carrying the Omicron variant of coronavirus, which was recognized because the variant of concern by the WHO, the official mentioned.
The person had travelled from Cape City to Dombivali on November 24.
“He underwent a COVID-19 check which returned optimistic,” the official added.

The affected person is at present admitted on the Artwork Gallery isolation centre of the KDMC, the official mentioned.
