Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu aimed a jibe on the BJP over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s safety breach, saying he was “troubled” solely by a 15-minute wait. The farmers, he mentioned, needed to anticipate greater than a 12 months to get the farm legal guidelines scrapped.

Mr Sidhu’s occasion has accused the BJP of enacting a petty political drama over a “so-called breach” within the PM’s safety. Senior Congress chief Randeep Surjewala mentioned the Prime Minister needed to cancel his rally in Ferozepur because the occasion was poorly attended.

Mr Sidhu, too, alleged that the entire occasion was to divert consideration from the low turnout on the Ferozepur rally.

“PM could not have addressed empty chairs like shameless Ex -CM Captain (Amarinder Singh). Solely means out was to divert media consideration to the alleged safety risk & save humiliation of addressing 500 folks on 70000 chairs,” he tweeted.

The BJP has accused the Congress of “murderous intent” and making an attempt to “bodily hurt” the prime minister.
