Former Punjab Leader of Opposition Sukhpal Singh Khaira was on Thursday arrested by an Enforcement Directorate (ED) workforce from Delhi in a cash laundering case. The 56-year-old Congress chief had earlier claimed that he had “not finished something incorrect” and was being focused by Central businesses as a result of he has been vocal in opposition to the three contentious farm legal guidelines handed by the Centre.

He was taken into custody by the central probe company in Punjab underneath provisions of the Prevention of Cash Laundering Act (PMLA).

The ED had accused the previous MLA from Bholath in Kapurthala district of being an “affiliate” of medication racket convicts and pretend passport racketeers.
