4 Workers Killed In Roof Collapse At Telangana Coal Mine

Hyderabad:

4 employees died after a roof in a coal mine undertaking on the State-owned Singareni Collieries Firm Ltd (SCCL) collapsed on them in Mancherial district of Telangana on Wednesday.

The incident occurred at Srirampur space whereas roof-stitching was on, the SCCL and the police stated.

A portion of the roof fell on the 4 employees, within the age group of 32 and 60, burying them underneath the rubble and ensuing of their demise, they stated.

Chairman and managing director of SCCL N Sridhar conveyed his condolences to the bereaved households.

Additionally, he ordered an enquiry into the incident and directed the officers involved to submit a report. “It ought to be seen that such incidents don’t recur,” he stated.
